Anyone know legality of jailhouse rules regarding nudity?

As of recent I had to spend a few days in the county jail, and I was just wondering something. The cell I was in was like a main cell with 6 other seperate that you had to get locked in at night. Each seperate had their own toilete in clear view of the entrance. The main part of the cell had a shower in it, which just consisted of 3 walls, there was no curtain or partial wall of any kind. Almost every guard that was there was a female, there was nothing but men in this cell. So, my question is, How can that be legal that the men have to use the toilete and shower in full view of the female gaurds?? I know you give up certain rights in jail, but how is this considered legal?
