If money's no object, Gibson Les Pauls are great guitars in general, but it depends what type you want. I have a Fender Strat, and I think it's amazing. I would recommend the Fender Mex Strat, and the Epiphone Les Paul 100 is a good buy too, so anything like that or within the range would be worth it. As for amps, a Marshall 15 (I have one) is good, dunno about the Fender, haven't used one. I have a retired racing greyhound, he is a male, about 85 pounds, and he is absolutly beautiful and very sweet, very healthy and very loved. He used to be a little territorial towards people coming in the house, he would keep his distance and just bark. But ever since we had to put our cat down, he barks, growls, snaps, and tries to bite and even attack anybody who comes in, even if he sees them walking down the street. It's nothing medical, because in public he is perfectly fine with people and other dogs, and there are certain people he likes, and certain ones he doesn't. Fear aggression is also common in greyhounds I've learned. he's not mean, he's really a big baby! He's scared of loud noises and cries at things, and he walks on top of us so we can rub his belly, he's just trying to pretect us, and he doesn't know he's being "bad" I am 14 by the way, and we've been having my friend come over every thursday for a few hours to work with him. we give him chicken as she walks in and have her throw her some, and we kept him on a leash. it worked out well! He still gets shocked when she gets up from sitting somewhere. By this we are teaching him that people being welcomed in the house are not threats, they are friends. He's been doing quite well too. Now what we did a few days ago was we put up two gates in our house, so he was in one half of the house, and my friend and me were on the other side of the gate, that way he could be off the leash, and see my friend walking around, talking, and it worked amazingly! we sat next to gate and talked to him, and each other, she threw some treats over, she gave him a bone, and it was great. a few times he stuck his head over and barked, so we just acted like we were playing, we said "awww whataya doin cutie!" and just petted him, and it seemed to calm him down. so my question is, will this gate thing work? cus we dont like having him on a leash everytime, he needs more freedom you know? thanks!

EGO is running my life, need help?

Help with pad cactus growth????

I've had a sizable pad cactus for a few years, it's about 1.5 - 2 foot at it's tallest shoot and it was bought for me as a present. I love cacti and own quite a few. The pad cactus gets alot of new growth each year, but instead of growing more round/oval, the new growth always grows long and tall and often then cannot support it's own weight especially if that then gets new growth on it. Is it the conditions? It gets a nice amount of light and seems to like the room it's in, I don't over or under water it. Can anyone help?

As of recent I had to spend a few days in the county jail, and I was just wondering something. The cell I was in was like a main cell with 6 other seperate that you had to get locked in at night. Each seperate had their own toilete in clear view of the entrance. The main part of the cell had a shower in it, which just consisted of 3 walls, there was no curtain or partial wall of any kind. Almost every guard that was there was a female, there was nothing but men in this cell. So, my question is, How can that be legal that the men have to use the toilete and shower in full view of the female gaurds?? I know you give up certain rights in jail, but how is this considered legal?

I think education has little to do with it. You both have strong personalities and different views on what living arrangements should be. Depending on how much time left you have on your lease you could possibly get out of it. If not, wait till your lease is up. She asked you to leave and you can not ruin your name for her whims. Secondly. Dont just move right back in. Let her stand on her own a while and you do the same. If you do move to where she is, rent an apartment or house for a while. I am sure you can find one that does not require a long lease. If you can not talk on the phone with out arguing, how will you live together. You can make new friends and meet new people, you can not take back time wasted on something that is never going to work. Even if you care about her, which you do not say anything about, sometimes you just can not live with someone. Hi im trying to lose weight. On mon,wed,fri, i do upperbody strength (8reps,4sets, 3 rotations, shoulders, bicep, tricep) but before that i do 20-40laps of swimming. In tue,thur,sat, i do lower and chest ((( legs, chest ))). I drink whey protein 24g per scoop as soon as i wake up, and after i workout. I workout everyday at 6am. Im 16, 6'0 , 212lbs. If someone could tell me whats better or if im doing good, please say so. Im aiming towards 180lbs. I replace my breakfast with Protein shake and apple, Launch is something light and healthy, dinner is something light too. I drink a liter of water through out the day. Summer in Hong Kong for Teen... Help?!?

Okay, so this summer (2011), my parents want me to go back to Hong Kong. I do have relatives in Hong Kong to stay with and all, but it's not like I'm staying for a week. I'm staying there for almost my whole summer vacation. I'm fourteen, by the way. :) I speak fluent English, considering English is my first language, and me being a New Yorker almost my whole life. (New Yorker at heart. :D) I do speak Cantonese. I speak enough Cantonese to find my way around. However, my biggest fear: Boredom. Is there anything for me to do there over the summer. I've considered tutoring English, but no. Most people who would pay to have there child take expensive English lessons wouldn't like it if the tutor was an Asian American fourteen-year-old. I'm too young for internship and jobs. I can't find any day summer programs. I'm not allowed to attend a residential camp. YMCA? I'm as athletic as cork. I just don't know what to do. I'm so desperate at this point. Plus, many summer programs are super costly, only adding to my cons list for summer programs. My aunt can only take me out on weekends. On weekdays, I'm not allowed to stray long distances around Hong Kong. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. :(

Question about surface preparation for laying kitchen tile.?

I recently removed and installed new 1/4inch plywood in our kitchen floor. We have already purchased enough self-sticking 1foot square vinyl floor tiles to cover the area. The question is, is there any sort of surface preparation to do before we lay them down? I have had people tell me about filling in the seams if they are more than 1/4 inch wide between plywood boards. Also, does the adhesive on the tiles stick to plywood well? Or should adhesive be applied in addition?

I am 50 years old. I had a hysterectomy at 40. I have suffered from hot flashes ever since. My latest symptom, however is more bothersome. I have been having l hypersensitivity (not pain, but more like excitability) througout the day, without any stimulation. It occurs randomely and is almost impossible to ignore. By the time I finish trying to block it out (can't relieve yourself all the time, lol) I am not even interested in with my husband. when we do have , I climax quickly. What is cusingthis? I need a recipe quick!?

I have chicken I cooked yesterday and I want to use the rest of it. I have minute rice and the BARE basics. I have of course salt, pepper, er, oil. I don't have any cream of anything soup which is what all the recipes I have read call for. I have a few cans of chicken noodle soup, tomato paste with garlic, colbe jack cheese, wide egg noddles, I also have the packs of soup you can make that has a few noodles but mostly just broth( for when you are sick). I'd like to make either a noddle and chicken cerole or a rice and chicken cerole of something like that. I have the broth leftover too but I left it in the crockpot on the counter all night so I don't know if it's still good or not. Thanks.

Yes I believe that some are choices. But what about the man who has provided very well for his family and gets down sized out of his job? Do I really need....or can I postpone this?

I got mine but she didn't start using it til 3 months and loved it at 4 months. She loved hers and I loved it as well, it was the only way I was able to take a shower for 10 min. I would definitely buy it again. I also used it for tummy time because it has colors and designs that she loved to look at when she was doing "tummy time" I did use it from the beginning but if you don't have the money right now then you have a couple months to save up but of all the things I bought the play mat was used daily!! Dog diarrhea that won't go away.?

My 6 month old English Mastiff has had several bouts of diarrhea since the day we got him. At first it was from worms and the vet helped us clear him of that. Then it was because he ate a rawhide chew stick whole. The vet said it would p and not to worry. The next visit to the vet, he told me that puppies, especially bigger ones like mine are chewers and he'd probably continue to get diarrhea throughout his life. Well, this last bout has lasted almost a month. I see a few times that he has a solid bm, but mostly it's liquid or mush. My other dog is pregnant, I am pregnant with twins and have absolutely no income. So please don't tell me I need to rush him to the vet, because he never seems concerned anyway. This last time he ate a barbie along with cardboard, some rocks, and god know what else. He ped a foot the other day. Is there anything I can give him that can help him to p anything else that might be in his stomach. he acts perfectly healthy, eats full meals and drinks plenty of water. Help if you can. Thanks

Cause so many people these days are not cultured enough to know that happy hour food is just finger food, just noshes, not a full meal. Next time you invite people for tails, you might want to make a point (especially to those who were heaping their plates last time) that dinner will NOT be provided, it is only a meet and mingle tail party. And if they continue to hog all the food just get used to the idea that you're going to run out of food and, oh well.

How can I keep from feeling negative toward customers?

I've been a retail salesman for the better part of the last 10 years and something I've noticed is that customers are much more educated, and smarter consumers...that is, they're not impulsive and buy right away without asking legitimate questions. Believe me, that makes my job MUCH easier (answering questions now saves you from having to answer questions later). However, something else I've noticed is that customers are increasingly rude, ill-tempered, and mean-natured. Now, make no mistake that I'm a pretty thick-skinned individual. Having worked in retail for a while, it comes with the territory. But I'm finding that I'm beginning to show "cracks" in my "skin." Customers will come in and ask loaded questions and do it as rudely as possible, they'll insult you, your business, or just act ignorant or disregard anything you say just to get under your skin. I'm finding it increasingly difficult to zip the lip and just let it go but customers get more and more blunt, rude, and just flat out nasty. I know I probably sound like a cry baby here LOL but I'm a very good salesman and having these feelings toward customers shows whether I want it to or not. Heck, I haven't even said anything or lashed out yet. I've heard that there are actually people who spend their weekends going from store to store "abusing" salesman by asking loaded questions or putting them in awkward situations to throw them off their game and not appear as confident as they're used to. How can I deal questions and comments that are meant to put me on the spot or make me feel uncomfortable as a salesman? How can I deal with customers that come in and make it clear right out of the gate that they're going to be as difficult as possible? I'll let you know that the vast majority of customers are genuine, good natured people looking for a good deal. But how on earth do I deal with people who just want to come in and make you squirm? HELP!!!

This morning at around 6am, I woke up to find my parents and cousin getting ready to leave for work as usual. I stayed in my bed, not wanting to go out. I felt an itch at my side, after I itched, I grazed my finger up and down my side until I felt this lump feel. It was too smooth to be a mosquito bite, I thought it was just a scab at first, so I picked it off. When I started to take it off it did not hurt. And by hurt, I mean it did not have that stingy feel of taking off a scab. I yanked it off. And found...one little leg on each side of it. I think its a tick. Recently I have gone to a farm for a graduation party. Alot of people found ticks that NIGHT. So i don't know where this came from. I know that ticks can cause medical things. Should i combine low/heavy and high/light rep weight training in each of my workouts?

I heard that there are benefits of both low/heavy reps and high/light reps. So should i do both in a workout? eg. Do heavy weights low repetitions and then light weight high repetitions afterwards? Or should i just do heavy/low reps for 2 weeks and then switch over to light/high reps for the next 2 weeks. By the way i'm 15 and iv been lifting for about 3 years. I just want to get stronger and make my muscles big and toned (hard and shaped). I lift about 13 kg for heavy and about 8kg for light.

Chicago is a very nice place to live but so is Dallas. I think as far as prices go, Dallas is cheaper then Chicago. There is also alot of things to do in Dallas and Ft Worth is right next to Dallas so you kind havwe 2 big cities right next to each other. It's a hard choice because I like both of those cities. I know both cities are both liberal and are making progression and the public transporation is good in both places. Why not try doing some research on these places and see what they have to offer. Hamster has growing lump under leg?

My male hamster that I've had for a year and 7 months, has a lump that I'm concerned about. It showed up a month to two months ago and it's grown, but not a whole lot. Fall off a waterbed and get stuck between the bed & the wall, get stuck & die of asphyxiation? This happened to my dad. He layed down on one side & rolled all the way over to the other side, rolled off the bed & got wedged between the wall and bed frame. Not the mattress & bed frame. My stepmom says she couldn't get him out & he died from suffocation from the pressure of the weight on his chest. He was intoxicated I might add but wouldn't it make more sense that he would sink between the matress & bed frame & how did he make it all the way across the bed without this happening..... I called the police for a friend because she was suicidal, and she said that her family was getting billed $2500. When I made the decision to call the police one of the first things I asked was if she would be billed, and the man on the hotline I called said not unless they send an ambulance and I asked that the police just knocked on her door to make sure she was going to be okay, because I knew her parents couldn't pay for that. There are no absolute moral laws...only societal laws, and all societies change over the years. The moral laws change with them, we no longer believe in slavery, we now believe that women have equal rights. This are all morals that have changed. Go back to the time of early christianity, morally it was ok to have many wifes, nowadays it's not ok. So there are no moral absolutes...only what the society at the time considers to be moral.

Ok, I have a friend who was the first person I told about me coming out of the closet. The reason i picked him of all people to tell first, was because he is my crush, (straight - to my understanding) I haven't told anyone else yet, and its been about 8 months since i told him, although some of my close friends really think i am gay. But im just not ready to come out to everyone. Anyway back to the point, recently my friend that i came out to has got a bit closer to me, he hangs out with me and my good friends, which he wouldn't normally do etc. and in the ped 3 weeks, he has been really subtly flirting with me, and i think he is trying to arouse me a little, he slaps my bum occasionally, he hugs me a lot more than my other friends do, he fell asleep on my lap once. obviously i love this behavior because im gay and i seriously fancy him, but i want to know is he just teasing me or is he interested? The first time i asked him 2 weeks ago "what are you doing", (one of them long drawn out ones, like they are up to something :P) and he gave off a little laugh and said nothing, the next time i asked him "dude, you know i like this , but why are u acting like this" he replied "im just kidding with you" and hugged me from behind and put his arms around my tummy and his head on my shoulder. HELPP ok? I was on my way to works this morn when i saw a local upper minnesote law enforced police cop officer pulling over a speeded mobile. I quickly hoisted my min van directly behind the halted police officing car automotive to see if he needed some ist which i know he probably did. after i turned the ignish off in my car i promptly ran over and tackled the criminal speeded purpatrator to the grounds and instructed to cop to place the handcuffs on and that i had him tightly wound and under controls. the cop then buzzed in his walk talk for some additional backs up and proceeded to taze me. at first i thought it was an accidental as im sure he meant to taze the speeded individual. the next thing i knew i had blacked out and arose to about 12 cops attempting to hoist me into the ambulance from the grounds. the cop then instructed me that i would be arrested for simple aulting and obstruction of justice and then he mentioned something about an anonomous tip involving a large prostitue and a min van and that i was under suspection. i have been released on bails by my husband trois however he is not very pleased with me. all i can say is i was trying to helps out the local laws community. what do i do now?

It's about time someone reminded the federal government about the "reserved powers." Look at the state governments. What real purpose do they serve now? They are supposed to have separate powers not become DC-local. I think the Legislatures could regain their footing if the 17th Amendment were repealed allowing the state legislatures to chose the federal senators and giving them a national voice while restoring their importance to the voters.

Neighbor's retaining wall is causing water problems?

My neighbor, who lives uphill from me, built a retaining wall 3 1/2 years ago without a permit. The wall is 4 feet high and extends about 40 feet along my property to the back corners of our properties and also about 30 feet in - kind of like a 3 sided rectangle. When he asked before he put it up I told him I don't have a problem with it so long as it has proper drainage, done right and looks good. Needless to say, I am now stuck with a 4 foot high ugly cinder block wall with another 8 feet of solid white plastic fence on top of that - 12 feet of ugliness. The worst part of it is that I now have constant water problems because of it. After it rains, my yard remains wet for 5-7 days now as opposed to pre-wall when it would only be wet for a day or two. The wall slowly seeps its water onto my yard. I have spoken to him several times about this problem and finally last fall he put a drainage pipe that was supposed to divert the water to the street. Unfortunately, not a drop comes out of the pipe when it rains. I have spoken to the towns code/construction official and he says that there really isn't anything that can be done (which is nothing but pure BS). What are my options?

Taking to er, red blood cells count was 7.9 - transferd to heart hospital given blood an stabilized at reb 10. Was told she suffered a heart attack because of termendous loss of blood, mild stroke aswell. No blood was actuallyh lossed, but blood was eating own blood. Layed in hospital bed for 2 day, the nerver maged legs or put things on her legs for blood clots. Died from blood clot in leg. I think this should have never happened especially in a reknowed heart hospital. Does any body know anything about blood clots and if this a case of over sight or neglect. Who to choose to be my maid of honor?

I'm getting married on September 25th and I'm having trouble deciding on my maid of honor. First my fiance & I were going to have just family in the wedding party, but after some thought we'd really like to include friends. The wedding party includes my soon to be sister in law who goes to school in West Virginia and another future sister in law who lives locally. I have my sister in law who lives in Virgina and then I have two friends who are local. I've decided my sister in law from Virginia will be just a bridesmaid as she isn't local. The soon to be sister in law who lives local I cannot see being my maid of honor as she just isn't a family orientated person, I love her and we can talk about our lives with each other, but recently when celebrating a birthday she up and left with a friend. She's 20 so she's sort of wrapped up in her life right now, which at her age is completely understandable. She's into the wedding though and extremely excited to be apart of it and even came with me to meet the person at the ceremony & reception place. Then I have the other future sister in law who goes to school in West Virginia. She would be my pick for maid of honor, but I'm concerned because she'll be at school she won't be able to fulfill the MOH duties. Lastly, my two best friends. I've been friends with the one for maybe just a year longer and we all would spend a lot of time together before we had our kids. Once we had our children it did lessen our time together, but we always stayed connected. The one friend I see more often, but I can't see her being my MOH due to her being very selfish, not dependable as she doesn't drive and she doesn't have much help with being able to get a sitter when we would have to do wedding things. Also, I get the impression she may be jealous that I'm getting married and her boyfriend is a low life as she doesn't ask me about any wedding planning or wedding related at all! I'm always doing for her, but she definitely doesn't do for me. We have a stronger connection though compared to my other friend and we can talk about everything with each other. We've even lived together in the past and she remembers us telling each other we'd be each others MOH's when we would get married, even though I don't remember. Now the other friend I find to be very into the wedding planning as we went to dinner recently and 90% of our conversation was wedding talk. She came with me to a bridal show and wants to go to more. She's a lot more dependable and is able to get a sitter if needed. I feel as though if I choose the girl that I want to be my MOH it would destroy my friendship in some way with the other girl. My fiance says it's up to me, my mother tells me that I shouldn't go with either as my MOH because of what it might do to the friendship with the one girl. My mother in law thinks I should go back to either just having family only in the wedding party or I should choose the girl I want and deal with the drama from the other friend, even though planning my own wedding I don't want to deal with drama. Narcotic withdrawls?

i have been on vicodin for about the last 8 months within the last 3 months i have been taking enough to run me out of my months supply within a week. so i started bying other peoples scripts like percocets and methadone i realize i am going way over the top with this stuff and have decided to quit can anyone tell me what to expect and how long withdrawls from narcotics last is it possible to ride it out i have been off them for about 4 days now and i just seem to keep getting sicker. any advice would be appreciated i dont want to go to a doctor for it. do i have a choice?
