Subpeona question?

My boss recently told me I was subpoenaed as a witness in a case concerning an employee stealing. I was verbally told by her on Wednesday, the court date is Monday. I haven't received any notification in the mail at my school address, nor my parents home. The prosecutor has called me (Thursday, I was in cl- She hasn't called back since) and said I was subpoenaed also. I live in Detroit, Michigan- so I'm semi-suspicious. I have no idea where the court is, whether or not it's criminal, civil, etc... I've just been told it's a jury trial and my boss is picking me up to take me. I don't want to be a witness, it is more trouble than it is worth. Any advice? Does this seem odd to you?
