How do i get my license reinstated( california )?

My husband just got polled over and got his truck taken away.. they said they would put a 30 day hold on it because his license was suspended . but he got a lawyer and got all of his charges dimissed .. now he has to get his license reinstated how long and were doese he go to get this all taken care of .. i called dmv and the court but i cant seem to get ahold of anyone
