A question for all the multimillionaires out there who started off with just little or none in the bank?

How do you go from a jobless student in college to a multi millionaire who makes a difference all around the world? Without a breakthrough in technology (the facebook guy)? What is the backbone of success? Determined and hard working...sure, but thats just good enough to be in debt these days. What kind of people do you need to contact and know in order to build a multi million dollar company out of nothing?
